Michele’s work is inspired by the forms, textures and colors of nature; such as seed pods, mosses, shells and tree bark. She takes an experimental approach to combining thrown and hand built techniques. She has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and worked in New York City for many years as a textile designer. Though her love of working with clay has been lifelong, she has focused her time the last two years working at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg, FL.
