Carol Stevenson, a native Rhode Islander, began her love of ceramics as a child during family tea-time and has continued to explore various techniques through the decades.
Inspired by the natural world, those elements are often echoed & preserved in her work; shells, pressed textures, the mimicry of waves, or the colours of fruit & flower serve as keepsakes of an experienced life.
Carol also enjoys other media of expression – fiber arts, glass bead making, & natural dyeing and often can be found in the midst of several projects.
